3 ways to bring Christ into your finances

With these 3 actionable steps, you can bring Christ into your finances and grow in your relationship with Him. Grow your wealth and your spiritual health using these Christian financial management principles.

Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.

(Proverbs 3:5-7)

As Christians, we strive to bring Christ into our lives. Our whole lives. In most respects, this is easy! We ask Christ to guide our relationships and our work. We pray for His hand in our health and in raising our children. Surely we will sometimes say we want to bring Christ into our finances, but that can be one of the most challenging things to truly turn over.

We know it can be tough to bring Christ into your finances. To help, we’re bringing you three everyday actions so you can make strides toward more intentional Christian financial management.

Pray for God’s Will in your Financial Decisions

When you wake up in the morning, set aside a few minutes to spend in prayer. Ask God for guidance in your financial decisions. Use this time as an opportunity to bring Christ into your finances.

Share your financial fears with Him.

Celebrate financial successes with Him.

Entrust your financial wishes to Him.

Most of all, give your finances to Him with faith.

When we decide to ask for His hand in our finances, we know it will come.

When you bring Christ into your finances, you’ll begin to see the blessings He promised.

Pray for friends and family members who are going through financial struggles or bring them to church with you so they can see what God has to offer them.

It is okay to pray for Christ to enter your finances!

You are not praying for money. Rather, you are praying that His will be carried out through the way you manage your finances.

Give Generously

When you are struggling financially or going through a Christian debt relief program, it can be a heavy burden to think of giving. But, God promises that if you give to others, He will bring prosperity back into your life.

Give generously – with money and time.

As you practice Christian financial management, you might find that you don’t have money to give. So instead, give time to help others in need. Whether volunteering at church or helping a friend find a Christian debt relief program, we bring Christ into our finances when we give of ourselves in any capacity.

Of course, we want to give of all of our resources, including our finances. Give to His kingdom in any capacity possible is a cornerstone of sound Christian financial management.

Speak With Others About How They Can Bring Christ Into Their Finances

The third way that you can bring Christ into your finances is by helping others take steps toward Christian financial management. Consider encouraging a friend or family member to bring Christ into their finances by sharing your experience and explaining how you are doing it yourself. Share the blessings that you are experiencing in your life by incorporating biblical financial principles in your life.

If you’ve ever brought a friend to church and watched them come into a relationship with Christ, you know how that strengthens your own relationship with Christ, too. The same thing goes for helping a friend discover Christian financial management. We know that debt limits our relationship with Christ. It is incredibly freeing to escape that burden, and incredibly gratifying to help others achieve the same. You bring Christ into your finances when you bring others along with you for the journey.

Continue Your Journey!

If you bring Christ into your finances, He will bring blessings and prosperity back to you. The three tips we’ve given are an excellent place to start bringing Him more intentionally into how you handle money.
